Pannalal Mahabir Prasad was set up in the year 1948 as proprietorship firm by Late Mahabir Prasad Agarwalla in order to carry the wet dates, dry fruits, spices and Pulses business in Kolkata.
With the passing years the firm grew its business both in volume and geographic wise. In today’s date firm is spread throughout Eastern India.
Firm started trading by purchasing goods from local market of Mumbai and North India but since 1990 firm has started importing goods directly from Dubai, UAE, USA (California), Srilanka, Vietnam etc.
Firm is known to be the biggest stockist of Wet dates in Eastern Region and supplies to all Semi-stockist, Whole seller and certain known retailers. Firm 60% turnover is through wet dates only.
Firm registered office is located at 1A Madan Mohan Burman Street. Firm is run by Mr.Lakshman Agarwal (grandson of Late Mahabir Prasad Agarwalla) aged about 35 yrs. He joined the business at very early age of life. He is having a great experience into this business.
